Description

A delicious twist on the classic Sloppy Joe, combining the spice of Cajun seasoning with tender ground chicken.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the diced onion and bell pepper over medium heat until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Stir in the ground chicken and Cajun seasoning, cooking until the chicken is fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Allow the mixture to thicken for a few minutes.
  7. Serve the Cajun chicken mixture on hamburger buns and garnish with fresh parsley.
