Description

Delicious Cuban garlic bread sandwiches filled with roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, and pickles, all grilled to crispy perfection.


Ingredients

Scale
  • Cuban bread or garlic bread
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 4 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • 1 cup pork (roasted or cooked, shredded)
  • 4 slices ham
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup pickles (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Mix softened butter with minced garlic in a small bowl.
  3. Spread the garlic butter on the outsides of the Cuban bread.
  4. Layer the inside of the bread with sliced pork, ham, Swiss cheese, and pickles.
  5. Spread a thin layer of mustard on the inside if desired.
  6. Close the sandwich and place it on the skillet.
  7. Grill until the bread is crispy and golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  8. Remove from heat, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, press down gently while grilling to ensure even toasting and melting of cheese.
