These little cookies are soft, buttery, and easy to make. They melt in your mouth and look nice on a holiday tray.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Holiday sprinkles or powdered sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add in the all-purpose flour and vanilla extract, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Flatten each ball slightly and shape them as desired.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
  8. Once cooled, decorate with holiday sprinkles or a dusting of powdered sugar.
