Description

A delightful dessert featuring layers of rich brownie cubes, fluffy chocolate mousse, and creamy whipped cream.


Ingredients

  • 1 batch of brownies, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup heavy cream (for mousse)
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted and cooled
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (for mousse)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for mousse)
  • 1 cup heavy cream (for whipped cream)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for whipped cream)
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the brownies according to your favorite recipe or package instructions. Allow them to cool before cutting into cubes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and vanilla extract, then fold in melted chocolate until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  4. In a trifle dish or individual cups, start layering with brownie cubes, followed by chocolate mousse, then whipped cream.
  5. Repeat the layering until all ingredients are used, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  6. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  7. Before serving, sprinkle with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder.

Notes

You can prepare the trifle a day in advance. Store in the refrigerator covered tightly.
