- 1 batch of brownies, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 cup heavy cream (for mousse)
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted and cooled
- 2 tablespoons sugar (for mousse)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for mousse)
- 1 cup heavy cream (for whipped cream)
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for whipped cream)
- Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the brownies according to your favorite recipe or package instructions. Allow them to cool before cutting into cubes.
- In a mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and vanilla extract, then fold in melted chocolate until combined.
- In another bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- In a trifle dish or individual cups, start layering with brownie cubes, followed by chocolate mousse, then whipped cream.
- Repeat the layering until all ingredients are used, finishing with whipped cream on top.
- Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Before serving, sprinkle with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder.
Notes
You can prepare the trifle a day in advance. Store in the refrigerator covered tightly.
