Description

A delightful twist on traditional fudge with rich brown butter flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, browned
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips (340 grams)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides. Lightly mist the paper with nonstick spray.
  2. Brown the Butter: In a light-colored saucepan, add the unsalted butter. Heat it over medium heat, stirring often until it turns a deep amber color.
  3. Combine with Sweetened Condensed Milk: Immediately stir in the sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
  4. Melt the Chocolate: Return the saucepan to low heat, add the white chocolate chips, and stir constantly until melted and smooth.
  5. Incorporate Sugar and Flavor: Remove from heat, sift in the powdered sugar, and stir until no lumps remain. Mix in the vanilla extract and fine sea salt.
  6. Pour and Set: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm, preferably overnight.
  8. Cut and Serve: Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment overhang and cut into squares.

Notes
