Description

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (for browning)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • â…› teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons milk (or more as needed)
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips (more as needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread flour evenly on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake flour for 5 minutes or microwave in 30-second intervals until it reaches 165°F. Let cool completely.
  3. Melt ¼ cup unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown and nutty. Let cool.
  4. In a mixing bowl, cream together ½ cup room temperature butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar using a mixer until smooth.
  5. Stir in the cooled brown butter, vanilla extract, and milk until fully combined.
  6. Add the cooled flour and salt gradually, mixing gently until a dough forms.
  7. Fold in mini chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
  8. Chill the dough for 10-15 minutes if desired, or serve immediately.
  9. Scoop out the cookie dough and serve as desired. Store leftovers in the fridge or freezer.

Notes

Always heat-treat your flour before using. For firmer texture, chill the dough before serving.
