Description

A delicious dish featuring crispy skin chicken thighs seared to perfection and served in a rich and creamy garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry and season them with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the skillet and sear them for about 7-8 minutes until they are deeply golden.
  4. Flip the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  5. Add the butter and minced garlic to the same pan, cooking for 1 minute while stirring constantly.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Simmer for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  8. Nestle the chicken thighs back into the sauce, skin-side up.
  9. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and simmer for 15-18 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  10. Remove from heat and sprinkle fresh parsley over the dish. Serve hot, spooning the creamy garlic sauce over each chicken thigh.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
