Description

These small, creamy truffles are a festive twist on holiday sweets, looking like little blue jewels on your table.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz white chocolate chips (high quality recommended)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Blue gel food coloring or blue candy melts
  • 8 oz white candy coating or white chocolate chips, melted
  • ½ cup sparkling sugar or white sanding sugar
  • 1 tablespoon crushed freeze-dried blueberries (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Blue Curacao liqueur (for adults, optional)
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract (for a nutty flavor, optional)

Instructions

  1. Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the melted white chocolate and powdered sugar. Mix until creamy and thick. Tint with blue coloring until vivid and chill for 20 minutes.
  2. Scoop the chilled mixture into small portions using a cookie scoop, roll into balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for 10-15 minutes until firm.
  3. Melt white candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl. Dip each truffle, let excess drip off, then roll in sparkling sugar. Place back on parchment paper to set completely.
  4. Refrigerate until firm before serving. Store leftovers in airtight containers.

Notes

Use good quality white chocolate and soften cream cheese to room temperature. Chill the mixture for easier shaping.
