Description
A spooky Halloween pasta dish with red sauce and mozzarella eyeballs.
Ingredients
12 oz spaghetti
2 tbsp olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 onion, chopped
15 oz crushed tomatoes
3 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
Salt and pepper to taste
½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
12 mozzarella balls
6 black olives
Balsamic glaze or food coloring (optional)
Instructions
1. Boil spaghetti until al dente.
2. Heat olive oil, sauté garlic and onion.
3. Add tomatoes, paste, sugar, herbs, and spices. Simmer 15 minutes.
4. Press olive halves into mozzarella balls for eyeballs.
5. Toss spaghetti in sauce, plate, and top with mozzarella eyeballs.
Notes
For extra spooky vibes, use squid ink pasta.
Prepare sauce ahead, assemble eyeballs just before serving.
