Description
This better than anything bars recipe layers chocolate cake mix, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and toffee bits into a gooey, rich, and irresistible dessert. Perfect for parties, holidays, or a sweet craving fix.
Ingredients
1 box chocolate cake mix (or devil’s food)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup toffee bits (Heath bar pieces)
Optional: crushed pretzels, peanut butter chips, or Oreos
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch pan.
2. In a bowl, mix cake mix, melted butter, and evaporated milk until dough forms.
3. Press half of dough into pan and bake for 8–10 minutes.
4. Remove from oven and pour sweetened condensed milk over crust.
5. Sprinkle chocolate chips and toffee bits evenly over milk layer.
6. Crumble remaining dough on top and bake for 25–30 minutes.
7. Cool completely before slicing. Serve chilled or warm.
Notes
For extra crunch, add crushed pretzels or chopped nuts.
Freeze individually for easy portioned treats.
Microwave a bar for 10–15 seconds for a gooey texture.
