Delicious and easy-to-make jalapeño popper crescent rolls perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
- Pillsbury Crescent Rolls (or similar)
- Cream Cheese
- Fresh Jalapeños
- Shredded Cheese (sharp cheddar, Monterey Jack, Colby Jack, or Mexican cheese blend)
- Cooked Beef Bacon Bits (optional)
- Garlic Powder
- Onion Powder
- Salt
- Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- Egg Wash (1 egg whisked with 1 tablespoon of water or milk, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wearing gloves, slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes. Finely dice the jalapeño flesh.
- In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, diced jalapeños, and shredded cheese. Add beef bacon bits, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough into triangles.
- Place a tablespoon of filling at the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll each triangle from the wide end to the pointed tip, encasing the filling snugly.
- Place rolled crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
- Brush the tops with the egg wash for a golden finish.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and filling is warm.
- Transfer to a serving platter and serve warm.
Notes
For added spice, consider using more or less jalapeño based on your heat preference. You can also experiment with different cheese combinations.
