Description

Delicious and easy-to-make jalapeño popper crescent rolls perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • Pillsbury Crescent Rolls (or similar)
  • Cream Cheese
  • Fresh Jalapeños
  • Shredded Cheese (sharp cheddar, Monterey Jack, Colby Jack, or Mexican cheese blend)
  • Cooked Beef Bacon Bits (optional)
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Salt
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • Egg Wash (1 egg whisked with 1 tablespoon of water or milk, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Wearing gloves, slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes. Finely dice the jalapeño flesh.
  4. In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, diced jalapeños, and shredded cheese. Add beef bacon bits, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Unroll the crescent roll dough into triangles.
  6. Place a tablespoon of filling at the wide end of each triangle.
  7. Roll each triangle from the wide end to the pointed tip, encasing the filling snugly.
  8. Place rolled crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  9. Brush the tops with the egg wash for a golden finish.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and filling is warm.
  11. Transfer to a serving platter and serve warm.

Notes

For added spice, consider using more or less jalapeño based on your heat preference. You can also experiment with different cheese combinations.
