Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 2 small green peppers, diced
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes (15 oz each)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
  • 1 can tomato paste (6 oz)
  • 15 oz water
  • 2 cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed (15 oz each)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced green peppers and yellow onion, cooking until they are soft.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and water.
  4. Add the kidney beans and season with spices to taste.
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
