Ingredients

  • 1 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 0.5 cup grated onion
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.25 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). If you prefer, line your loaf pan with aluminum foil for easier removal.
  2. Combine the ground beef, gluten-free breadcrumbs, grated onion, milk, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix all the ingredients together until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf.
  5. Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top for added flavor and moisture.
  6. Place the loaf pan on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Remove the meatloaf from the oven and allow it to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
