- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups chopped mixed nuts (optional)
- 1 cup dried fruits (like cranberries and raisins)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, add the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture. Stir well until combined.
- If desired, fold in the mixed nuts, dried fruits, and chocolate chips.
- Use a spoon or cookie scoop to drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets. Leave space between each scoop.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
- Serve and enjoy!
