Juicy, tender, and full of smoky BBQ flavor, this beef ribs oven baked recipe gives you that fall-off-the-bone goodness—no grill required. Easy enough for beginners, impressive enough for guests.
Ingredients
3–4 lbs beef back ribs or short ribs
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon liquid smoke (optional)
½ cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
1. Remove membrane and pat ribs dry.
2. Rub ribs with olive oil and all dry seasonings.
3. Marinate for 2–12 hours in the refrigerator (optional).
4. Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).
5. Wrap ribs in foil and bake for 3.5–4 hours.
6. Remove foil, drain fat, and brush ribs with BBQ sauce.
7. Broil ribs for 5–7 minutes until sticky and browned.
8. Let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
You can use either back ribs or short ribs for this method.
Adjust spice level by reducing chili powder or adding cayenne.
Make it sugar-free by choosing low-carb BBQ sauce.
