Description

A quick and easy classic stir-fry recipe combining tender beef, fresh broccoli, and a flavorful sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced against the grain
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 4 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, and brown sugar.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the bowl and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil.
  4. Stir-fry the marinated beef for about 3-4 minutes until browned, then set it aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add more oil if needed. Stir-fry the broccoli for about 2 minutes, until it is bright green but still crunchy.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet and add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Stir well and add any remaining marinade.
  7. Pour in the leftover marinade and cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

To enhance the dish, serve with rice or noodles. Consider adding extra vegetables or a spicy kick if desired.
