Description

A delicious blend of tender beef, crisp broccoli, and chewy lo mein noodles tossed in savory sauces, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225 g) lo mein noodles
  • 1 lb (450 g) beef, thinly sliced (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup beef broth or water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Noodles: Boil a large pot of water, add lo mein noodles, and cook according to package instructions for about 5-7 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Beef and Broccoli: Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok. Add the sliced beef in batches, cooking until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove beef and set aside.
  3. Cook the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil. Add minced garlic and ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Combine Everything: Return the beef to the skillet. Add cooked lo mein noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth. Toss until well combined, stir-frying for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Adjust Seasoning: Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute beef with tofu or tempeh. Add more vegetables for extra nutrition.
