Description

A hearty dish combining sausage and pasta, flavored with BBQ sauce for a delightful twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz Rotini Pasta
  • 1 lb Sausage (Andouille, spicy Italian, kielbasa, or chicken sausage)
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted water. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sausage, sliced into bite-sized pieces, and sauté until browned and cooked through (5-7 minutes).
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in BBQ sauce, honey, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper, stirring well to combine. Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sausage and sauce mixture and toss to combine.
  6. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring gently. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Customize the recipe by swapping the sausage or adding more vegetables. Serve with a simple salad or garlic bread.
