Description

A beloved baked good that combines the rich flavors of ripe bananas and crunchy nuts, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix the melted butter with the mashed bananas until well combined.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and salt.
  4. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until everything is blended smoothly.
  5. Add the flour and stir gently until just incorporated. Finally, fold in the chopped nuts and cinnamon if you are using it.
  6. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Overmixing can lead to dense bread. Use very ripe bananas for best flavor.
