Description

A simple and healthy one-ingredient banana ice cream that’s easy to make and delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas, peeled, sliced, and frozen

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Bananas: Start with firm, ripe bananas. Peel them and slice them into smaller pieces.
  2. Freeze the Bananas: Place the sliced bananas in a freezer-safe bag or container. Freeze them for about 120 minutes or until they are solid.
  3. Blend Away: Once frozen, take the banana slices and put them in a food processor or a high-powered blender.
  4. Process: Start blending the bananas. They will break down into small pieces at first.
  5. Scrape the Sides: As the bananas begin to clump, stop and scrape down the sides of the bowl. This helps everything blend evenly.
  6. Continue Blending: Keep processing until the mixture is smooth and creamy, similar to soft-serve ice cream. This can take a few minutes, so be patient!
  7. Serve or Freeze: Enjoy your banana ice cream right away for a soft-serve texture. If you prefer a firmer ice cream, transfer it to an airtight container and freeze it for 30 to 60 minutes.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for the best flavor. Experiment with toppings like nuts, chocolate chips, or fresh fruit.
