Description

Delicious Banana Bread Cinnamon Rolls combining the flavors of banana bread and cinnamon rolls into a soft, sweet treat perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Combine the yeast and warm milk, letting it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix the mashed bananas, softened butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
  3. Add the yeast mixture to the banana mixture.
  4. Gradually add in flour until a dough forms. Knead for about 5-8 minutes until smooth.
  5. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle once risen.
  7. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then spread it over the dough.
  8. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into pieces.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking pan, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
  11. Mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth for the glaze.
  12. Drizzle over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor. Allow the dough to rise in a warm environment for optimal fluffiness.
