A creamy, cheesy spaghetti casserole combining meat sauce and pasta, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sour cream (optional)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1–2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Extra Parmesan cheese
- Butter for greasing
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water until just al dente. Drain and return to pot.
- In a skillet, brown the ground meat. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened. Stir in marinara sauce, season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, then simmer.
- Add cream cheese, sour cream (if using), Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the hot pasta. Mix until cream cheese is melted.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter a baking dish and spread creamy spaghetti mixture evenly. Spoon meat sauce on top.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and extra Parmesan on top. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
- Let the casserole rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Ensure spaghetti is cooked al dente to hold its texture during baking. Let the casserole rest before slicing for better structure.
