Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, pour in the beef broth. Add the soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with a bit of water to create a smooth slurry.
  3. Turn the heat on under the saucepan to medium-high, stirring continuously as the mixture heats.
  4. Once the mixture begins to boil, pour the cornstarch slurry into the saucepan while stirring continuously.
  5. Let it cook for a few more minutes, tasting and seasoning with salt and pepper as desired.
  6. Serve warm over roast beef or mashed potatoes.

Notes

For best results, allow the gravy to come to a boil slowly and stir frequently to avoid lumps.
