- 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time to the butter and sugar mixture, stirring well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Mix in the sour cream, combining it well with the wet ingredients.
- Add the dry ingredients gradually, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the diced apples that have been sprinkled with cinnamon, ensuring even distribution.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Combine the brown sugar, oats, flour, and melted butter for the crumb topping. Mix until crumbly and sprinkle over the top of the batter.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool slightly in the pan before serving.
Notes
Serve with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or drizzled with a cinnamon glaze for an extra treat.
