- 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine diced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice; mix well and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt until crumbly.
- Spread the crisp topping mixture evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool.
- In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, and then gently fold into the cream cheese mixture.
- Layer half of the apple filling, half of the cheesecake mixture, and half of the crisp topping in a trifle dish; repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
