Description

Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine diced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice; mix well and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt until crumbly.
  4. Spread the crisp topping mixture evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool.
  5. In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. In another bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, and then gently fold into the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Layer half of the apple filling, half of the cheesecake mixture, and half of the crisp topping in a trifle dish; repeat with remaining ingredients.
  8. Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
