- 2 slices sourdough bread
- 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 Granny Smith apple, sliced
- 2 slices maple bacon, cooked until crispy
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
Instructions
- Cook the maple bacon in a skillet until crispy, then set aside.
- Slice the Granny Smith apples and sharp cheddar cheese.
- Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
- Place one slice, butter side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
- Layer with cheddar cheese, apple slices, crispy bacon, and another slice of cheddar cheese.
- Top with another slice of sourdough bread, butter side up.
- Grill until golden and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Serve warm.
Notes
For best results, use thin slices of cheese and cook bacon until crispy. Serve with tomato soup or a light salad for a complete meal.
