Description

A delicious grilled cheese sandwich combining sharp cheddar, tart Granny Smith apples, and crispy maple bacon for a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, sliced
  • 2 slices maple bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Cook the maple bacon in a skillet until crispy, then set aside.
  2. Slice the Granny Smith apples and sharp cheddar cheese.
  3. Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  4. Place one slice, butter side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Layer with cheddar cheese, apple slices, crispy bacon, and another slice of cheddar cheese.
  6. Top with another slice of sourdough bread, butter side up.
  7. Grill until golden and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes
