- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into patties, making sure they are even in size.
- In a skillet, heat the oil over medium heat and brown the patties on both sides.
- Once browned, remove the patties and set them aside on a plate.
- In the same skillet, whisk together the flour and beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce until smooth.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer until it thickens.
- Place the browned patties in a baking dish and pour the gravy over them.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
- Serve warm with a side of potato bake or your favorite vegetables.
Notes
Avoid overmixing the beef to prevent tough patties. You can add cheese or switch up the gravy to customize the dish.
