Description

A comforting dish that combines juicy beef patties with a rich gravy, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties, making sure they are even in size.
  4. In a skillet, heat the oil over medium heat and brown the patties on both sides.
  5. Once browned, remove the patties and set them aside on a plate.
  6. In the same skillet, whisk together the flour and beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce until smooth.
  7. Bring the mixture to a simmer until it thickens.
  8. Place the browned patties in a baking dish and pour the gravy over them.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
  10. Serve warm with a side of potato bake or your favorite vegetables.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the beef to prevent tough patties. You can add cheese or switch up the gravy to customize the dish.
