Description
Delightfully sweet and savory sticky honey garlic cauliflower that serves as a perfect side or main dish, combining healthy and satisfying flavors.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Green onions, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil and spread in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Roast the cauliflower for about 20 to 25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until tender and slightly browned.
- In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Heat over medium heat until simmering and thickened, about 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Transfer the roasted cauliflower to a large bowl, pour the warm honey garlic sauce over it, and toss gently to coat. Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
For extra heat, feel free to add more red pepper flakes. This dish pairs well with grilled chicken, rice, or a light salad.
