A simple and flavorful chicken dish cooked in a crockpot with a sweet and savory soy sauce blend.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs of chicken (thighs or breasts)
- 1 cup of soy sauce
- ½ cup of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon of grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 cup of chopped green onions
- 2 cups of mixed vegetables (like bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots)
- Cooked rice or noodles for serving
Instructions
- Start by preparing the chicken. If you are using thighs, you can leave them whole. For breasts, you may want to cube them for quicker cooking.
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Stir well until the brown sugar dissolves.
- Place the chicken into the crockpot and pour the sauce mixture over it.
- Add the mixed vegetables and give everything a good stir.
- Cover your crockpot and set it to low heat for 360 minutes or high heat for 240 minutes.
- Once cooked, serve over rice or noodles and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days; can be frozen for up to 3 months.
